FAQ

Who are Sub Delay?

Sub Delay consists of two Danish producers Jens Balvig and Anders Walther, with help from a long list of supporting musicians.

What formats are Sub Delay's music available in?

Sub Delay's music is provided free of charge in 192kps mp3 format. For people who care about sound quality the following premium formats are also available:

320kps mp3

Mp3s encoded at 320kps are about as high quality as mp3s get and are used by DJs all over the world.

FLAC Lossless

As the name suggests, files encoded with FLAC do not lose quality from the original audio and thus offer superior audio quality at the cost of a bigger file size compared with mp3s.

Sadly support for FLAC is currently limited so if your media player does not support FLAC you may be better off going with mp3.

Audio CD

CDs including full color artwork and liner notes are currently in production and will be available from the Album section as soon as they are done.

All digital downloads come complete with embedded artist & track information as well as cover art so they are ready to play in your favorite media player or music device.

How do I pay for digital downloads?

Sub Delay uses Paypal to handle payments. Upon clicking "Check out with Paypal", you will be taken to the Paypal site where instructions for payment will be given. Once payment is completed you will be sent a mail containing a link to your download.

Do I need a Paypal account to purchase digital downloads on Sub Delay?

No, you can pay for songs using the Paypal system and a credit card without having to create an account. However, we recommend that you do sign up for a Paypal account since it is free and will make subsequent purchases easier to carry out.

I want to share one of your MP3s with a friend. Are you going to sue me?

Nope. The free MP3s available on the site are released under a Creative Commons Share Alike license and you are free to share them with your friends. We would prefer if you don't distribute the paid downloads but if you must at least encourage the people you give it to to come by the site and buy a CD! ;)

Whatever happened to Tsurankeparenki/Section Four/Zonelet/Tranceparency?

Over the years we have used many different monickers for our musical output, and although we originally used different names for different styles of music, we have decided to consolidate them all under one name "Sub Delay". The various albums are still available with updated artwork to match the new name.

How can I contact/book Sub Delay?

Feel free to contact using any of the mediums shown under the heading "Connect" in the sidebar, or leave us a comment in the blog.
